DRIVE: Driving Resilience, Inclusion, Value, and Enrichment - School/Teacher Grant

Together, Toyota and United Way believe in the power of unity to create lasting change. To that end, Toyota and United Way have partnered to improve the learning environment for the success of students within the Pinkston feeder pattern in Dallas ISD. A positive school climate is essential to student success. The DRIVE Grant will provide schools and/or teachers financial support to improve school climate and enhance student success. The goals of the grant are to:

  • Improve facilities by creating environments that ensure safety and ignite learning
  • Equip teachers with the tools and resources to enhance learning and improve student success.
     

Grant amounts range from $500 - $3,000 and will be awarded through two categories:

  1. Student Learning Fund
  2. School Improvement Fund


Eligibility Requirements:

To qualify for funding consideration, the project must meet the following requirements:

  1. The initiative must benefit students within the Pinkston feeder pattern.
  2. The applicant must be an employee at an eligible school.
  3. The project must adhere to district policies and guidelines.
  4. The applicant must receive approval from the school's principal.
  5. The project must identify measurable goals that demonstrate positive impact.
  6. The applicant must submit a final report, including any supportive materials (success stories, testimonials, approved photos/videos, etc.).


The Driving Resilience, Inclusion, Value, and Enrichment (DRIVE) grant program is one part of Toyota's larger commitment to expand opportunities and create a culture of inclusion to strengthen the West Dallas Community.
